How Boon can help
Supporting individuals, families & foundations
Wherever you are in your philanthropy journey, I can help you decide what type of philanthropy will best align with your business, wealth or succession goals whilst having the greatest impact - and being the most enjoyable.
philanthropy strategy
From conception and planning through to setting impact measurements and milestones. This also includes helping to select and set up the right charity parter, and helping you figure out the right way to give, whether that's a DAF, a foundation or anything in between.
partnerships and connections
Working with my extensive network of experts, philanthropists, not for profits and charitable organisations, I help you make the connections that matter so that your philanthropy can have the biggest impact.
Supporting companies and not for profits
Working with corporates on their sustainability and CSR strategies as well as with not for profit organisations to help define and deliver their high value fundraising strategy.
who is Boon?
Sianne Haldane is a philanthropy and impact consultant working with companies and high net worth individuals and families supporting them with philanthropic and CSR goals, strategies and implementation. She also works with not for profits, helping them to develop and implement high value fundraising strategies.
Sianne is a STEP qualified lawyer with over twenty years experience working and consulting in the third sector as well as advising private clients. Sianne was formerly Chief Impact Officer at Maanch, an ESG tech consulting firm where she worked with large and small corporates to embed sustainability programmes. Before then, Sianne was Head of Planned Giving Philanthropy at Cancer Research UK, the UK's largest charity, where she brought in their three largest ever individual gifts, totalling over $100M.
Sianne is Chair of the STEP Global Philanthropy Advisors Special Interest Group. She sits on the Advisory Committee of the UN Global Compact UK and acts as an advisor on UBP's Biodiversity Restoration Impact Fund. She regularly gives keynote talks at philanthropy and private client conferences and events. She is also a Trustee of both Save the Rhino and Mosaik Education, a charity helping refugees access tertiary education.
Why the name Boon? When Sianne was admitted to the bar in her native South Africa, the presiding Judge advised "may you always be a boon to your clients". Sianne took it to heart, and has since been determined to have a purposeful career that integrates commercial, legal and philanthropic interests.
